Ahhhhh. Don't be self-defeating. I'm sure with some practice, you could own him with watever weapon you want. Like taking a plasma rifle and owning him while he has a sword.

Oh yeah, here are some weapon combos you may want to pratice with.

Expert Weapon Combos:

These are hard to use at first (not so much the needler ) but with some practice, you can come a long way.

needler x needler: Spray at character until he explodes. D

plasma pistol x magnum (pistol): Charge up charge shot. Shoot it to take out shields. Then, head/body shot with magnum for the finish. (I recommend head for it takes one head shot instead of 3 body shots to kill)

*Sniper Rifle and Close up Combat (shotgun, plasma sword, etc.): Learn how to snipe and then snipe him down. If he gets too close switch to the other weapon for a surprise and own him.

*Battle Rifle and plasma pistol: Learn how to always get headshots and then you'll never have to worry about the plasma pistol. Anways, first have out your plasma pistol (charge up and shoot) to take out shields. Then, quickly switch for the Battle Rifle and kill him. (in this case, head/body shots doesn't matter)

*These are not dual-wield set ups. These are two different weapons you are carrying.
The regular something x something are dual-wield combos

Novice/Okay Combos

These combos are easy to use and will give you an edge in combat. Not that great against experts though. Like me for example. jk

Plasma Rifle x SMG: Spray at the guy. He should die pretty soon.

Brute Plasma Rifle x SMG: Same as above

Plasma Pistol x SMG: Yeah you get the point. Plasma his shields then shoot blah blah blah.

Tips and other weapons:

Covenant Carbine: Not as good as the Battle Rifle but is better then BR if you can't head shot.

Beam Rifle: I like to call this the covenant sniper but this weapon takes a steady hand to use. You get too excited, the weapon overheats. I prefer the human sniper.

Brute Plasma Rifle: Never to be used by itself cuz plasma weapons only take down shields quickly not the actually meat of the dude. Very good weapon though it never spawns on the ground. You have to do random weapon to get it or if you have x-box live (which your bro told me he doesn't) you can get updates for new maps that DO drop it.

Plasma Grenades: Ahhhhh....the best weapon of all. So fun sticking ppl. Practice sticking, sticking on jumping ppl, jumping whule sticking, jumping while sticking a jumping person, sticking plasma swording ppl, etc. Yeah, it can become a very dangerous weapo n on Midship, where I once got about 17 kills by only sticking

Frag Grenades: I personally can't use these but these are actually pretty strategical things. Throwing a grenade and then retreating. That entices the other guy to follow you and then bang. He's dead. Very good if you can you use it.

Plasma Sword: I really don't like this weapon but in huge maps it is soooo bad. Anyways, never charge at ppl the have shotgun, double needlers, sniping weps (including BR, carbine, etc.) or if you are just to far away.

Rocket Launcher:....I hate this weapon. So gay and takes no skill. *looks at Gunny*

Needlers: If you have one, it's totally useless. If you have 2 it is totally powerful. One word of advice, never fire at ppl to far away or in a place that has too many obsticles (not counting Beaver Creek)

Oh yeah. This is for Halo 2. So if you're playing Halo 1 then just pick up a pistol and own. That's the best weapon ever.
